ElearningConsultancy.com were proud participants in a project to develop an online course with a consortium of UK universities and Chinese universities. The project was led by the University of Lancaster Department of Educational Research. This involved our company attending several meetings in China and the UK working as part of an inter-cultural team.

We played a significant role  to design and build the course in Moodle. Technologies used included Skype, Blogs and Moodle, as well as the more familiar email.

We were also involved as co-tutors on the inter-cultural online course working as part of a team of Chinese and UK tutors delivering to participants from both countries. We also provided technical support within Moodle for participants as the course was delivered.

This major project also involved us in undertaking field work both in China and the UK. We conducted interviews in both countries around conceptions of e-learning.

The project was based at Lancaster University partnered with The University of Sheffield and The Open University in the UK. There were also 4 universities in China. This cluster of universities formed part of the eChina consortium.
